The workshop starts the National Visitors Program in Mathematics. Main themes of the workshop are teletraffic theory, stochastic finance and other aspects of applied stochastics (see the list of topics of the invited speakers for more information).
The workshop will be funded by the Finnish Academy, the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters/Vilho, Yrjö ja Kalle Väisälän rahasto, the Niilo Helander Foundation, Research Foundation of the Rolf Nevanlinna Institute, Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation and Centre of Mathematics for Applications.
